CTSS: Protein Structure Alignment Using Local Geometrical Features

Pairwise Alignment Program

Description

The CTSS pairwise alignment program is a tool for protein structure alignment. It takes 2 protein structures (in PDB format) as input and computes shape signatures as curvature and torsion values along the Calpha virtual backbone. The location (i,j) in the distance map shown on the right indicates Euclidian distance between (curvature, torsion) pairs of ith Calpha in first protein and jth Calpha of the second protein. Dynamic programming is run on this distance map to find the structural alignment.
